RIP Gary Mangels
With great sadness, the Board of SVVGA has learned of the passing of Gary Mangels. Gary was a long-time, early Director of SVVGA. He served through some tough times, helping Suisun Valley recover as a grape region. He also did the books as Treasurer, providing a monthly financial report for years.
The Mangels family has been long-time cattlemen as well as grape growers and vintners. Gary and his brother John kept that legacy going, along with Gina and George Richmond, who joined Gary in opening Mangels Vineyards.
A graduate of Robert Lewis Stevenson School, his wisdom was fine-tuned. He brought that to every board meeting.
Gary will be missed by many in Suisun Valley and Solano County.
